One member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kitwe has died while 34 others are nursing injuries after the bus they were travelling on plunged into the Mwambashi stream.
The 36 SDA members were on a Rosa bus from a camp meeting in the Luango area within Kitwe.
Seventh Day Adventist Chimwemwe mission Pastor EMMANUEL CHALWE has described the accident as unfortunate.
And Chimwemwe level one hospital medical director Dr. MULENGA has described the condition of six out of the 34 members admitted to the hospital as critical but stable.
Dr. MULENGA has told ZNBC News in an interview that of the six patients who are critical, 4 are children aged between two and five years old.
He however said the patients are responding well to treatment and that staff at the hospital will do everything possible to stabilise them
