In a show of solidarity, Patriotic Front (PF) Member of the Central Committee Hon. Bowman Chilosha Lusambo, accompanied by Central Province PF Chairperson Hon. Billy Sichamba, recently visited fellow PF members Hon. Nickson Chilangwa, Hon. Ronald Chitotela, and other incarcerated officials at Mkukobeko Maximum Prison in Kabwe.

A Gesture of Solidarity

Hon. Lusambo’s visit comes as Hon. Chilangwa, Hon. Chitotela, and Kawambwa Mayor have now spent 50 days in detention. Their imprisonment has been a topic of significant discussion within political circles, and Lusambo’s visit highlights the ongoing support and unity among PF leaders during this challenging time.

High Spirits Amidst Adversity

During his visit, Lusambo was reportedly pleased to find the three leaders and their co-accused in high spirits. Despite the hardships of incarceration, the detained officials were said to be encouraging Lusambo and other PF leaders to remain united and steadfast in their political endeavors.

“They have encouraged me and the rest of the PF leaders who are not imprisoned to continue to stick together and provide the necessary leadership that the Zambian people desire,” Lusambo shared. His visit underscores a commitment to maintaining party cohesion and morale despite the current challenges faced by some of its members.

Continuing Leadership and Unity

The visit by Lusambo and Sichamba serves as a reminder of the PF’s focus on unity and perseverance. By addressing the emotional and morale needs of their imprisoned colleagues, the party leadership aims to reinforce its resolve and continue advocating for their political objectives.
