Opposition leader Edgar Lungu has expressed strong dissatisfaction with PF mayors and council chairpersons who met President Hakainde Hichilema at the Mulungushi Annual Conference. Lungu has instructed Raphael Nakachinda to ensure that those who met Hichilema but did not meet him will not be adopted by PF for the 2026 elections. Lungu, angered by their refusal to meet him and their preference for Hichilema, has vowed to exclude them from future PF candidacies.
