This is in Yeta ward, under the drought Emergency Social Cash Transfer.

Mongu District Commissioner, MORGAN AKABESWA says the funds are meant to cushion peoples’ livelihood amidst the drought situation.

Mr. AKABESWA has further said the programme, which will run for one year, is targeting vulnerable households, with each entitled to receive 800-kwacha every two months.

Meanwhile, Yeta ward Councilor, MUSHEBA NAWA has thanked government for giving relief to the local residents of Yeta ward.

And the beneficiaries are happy with the gesture, saying the funds will help sustain their families.
