Ngambela Mukela Manyando Confirms Dr. Akashambatwa’s Resignation as Senior Chief
Ngambela Mukela Manyando of Barotseland has confirmed the resignation of Senior Chief Akashambatwa Mbikusita Lewanika. Dr. Akashambatwa stepped down this morning, transferring his powers to Lubosi Imwiko II.
Following the resignation, Ngambela Manyando addressed Radio Lififi, criticizing Dr. Akashambatwa for not adhering to traditional norms and customs. “Dr. Akashambatwa resigned because he failed to follow our land’s traditions and abrogated the customs he was expected to uphold,” Ngambela stated.
