Self-exiled social media political activist Chilufya Tayali says Emmanuel J.J.
Banda will soon return to haunt those who kidnapped and persecuted him.
Broadcasting live on Facebook from an unknown exile, Tayali said he was just reporting the news and that the government must release Banda’s wife.
Tayali said the K2 million promised by police was not enough for the information that led to Banda’s arrest.
He said Banda was open to being released on two conditions: He said the first condition is that the two state council officials whom Banda claims led the kidnapping, Levy Ngoma and Clayson Hamasaka, be arrested along with those they used.
Tayari said the second condition is that he must deposit K5 million abroad, preferably in Dubai, instead of the K2 million offered by the police.
He declared that Banda would come forward if these two conditions were met.
He said neither the police nor state authorities would be able to take action against Banda.
Tayari explained that if these conditions were not met, Banda, who was sentenced to death and went into hiding, would start talking soon.
He said Banda would soon start making revelations that would reflect badly on the government.
Tayali said Banda would soon appear in the dreams of his captors and pursuers as he mysteriously escaped from police custody.
Banda, who was admitted to the third floor ward of Chipata General Hospital at about 10pm last Sunday, escaped while being guarded by five security personnel.
Police have since promised Kaka 2 million to anyone who provides information leading to Banda’s arrest.
Banda, who is the Member of Parliament for Petauke Central Constituency, was detained by police and charged with serious criminal offences.
